To proclaim March 2026 as American Red Cross Month
SUMMARY:
March is recognized nationwide as American Red Cross Month - a time to honor the humanitarian spirit that strengthens our communities and to recognize the volunteers, donors, and partners who make our mission possible.
BACKGROUND:
For more than 140 years, the Red Cross has helped communities prevent and prepare for emergencies, respond to disasters, and support military families. Here in DeSoto County, our volunteers respond to home fires, deliver lifesaving preparedness education, and provide comfort and care to families in crisis.
