Approve the Service Agreement Renewal with Samsara Networks, Incorporated, for the provision of fleet management and monitoring services.
SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting approval of the Service Agreement Renewal with Samsara Networks, Incorporated, for the provision of fleet management and monitoring services.
BACKGROUND:
DeSoto County has utilized Samsara's fleet management and monitoring services since 2021. These services provide the County with GPS-based vehicle and asset tracking capabilities to assist with fleet oversight, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
The County wishes to continue utilizing these services and has received a renewal agreement from Samsara for an additional 36-month term. The proposed agreement includes licensing for 123 vehicle gateways and 20 asset gateways, along with associated hardware, software access, maintenance, and support services. The total license cost for the 36-month term is $87,537.24, payable in three annual installments of $29,179.08.
