REQUESTED MOTION:
Approve Agreement Amendment No. 3 with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for Limited Post-Design Construction Phase Services for Phase 1 of the DeSoto County Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion.
SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting approval of Agreement Amendment No. 3 to the existing Professional Services Agreement (23-06-00RFQ) with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to provide limited post-design construction phase services as Engineer of Record during Phase 1 construction.
BACKGROUND:
On June 5, 2023, the County entered into Contract No. 23-06-00RFQ with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for the design and permitting of Phase 1 improvements to the DeSoto County Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion.
The Agreement was subsequently amended on July 10, 2024, to add surveying services, and again on February 24, 2026, for revised stormwater drainage management system design and permitting services.
The original Agreement did not include construction phase services. Amendment No. 3 authorizes Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to provide limited post-design construction phase services in order to maintain its role as Engineer of Record during Phase 1 construction. The total fee for these services is $199,910.00 and will be invoiced monthly based on the percentage of services performed.
