Motion to adopt the Rate Resolution for the Fire Protection Services Assessment as presented.
SUMMARY:
A Rate Resolution for the Fire Protection Services Assessment amending and restating the former Initial Assessment Resolution in its entirety. The purpose of this charge is to fund fire protection services benefiting property located within the unincorporated area of DeSoto County and the incorporated area of the City of Arcadia.
BACKGROUND:
On July 14, 2026, the Board adopted Resolution No. 2026-054 (the “Preliminary Rate Resolution”), containing and referencing a brief and general description of the fire protection services, facilities, and programs to be provided, describing the method of apportioning the Fire Protection Services to compute the Fire Protection Services Assessment.
