REQUESTED MOTION:
Approve the Cooperative Agreement utilizing the TIPS Agreement for inspection and maintenance of bleachers at the Turner Center authorizing Faciliserv to perform the work.

BACKGROUND:
The Turner center bleachers are original with the building. They are in bad shape due to several factors. One of which is that many of the parts are obsolete. They are worn due to being pulled in and out using a device that can be rough on the bleachers with constant use. Also, it requires at least two staff members to pull them in and out each time. By automating them, we will have less wear-and tear on the bleachers and they will better align when fully pulled out. This is a safety issue. We will need less staff time to be able to do this.
Because the Turner Center is an asset for tourism in DeSoto County, we determined it was feasible to use Tourism reserves to fund this repair and upgrade.
