REQUESTED MOTION:
Approve the Contract with CW3 Engineering, Incorporated, for the provision of Construction Engineering and Inspection Services for the FDOT SCOP/SCRAP roadway improvement projects.
SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting approval of a Contract with CW3 Engineering, Incorporated, to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection Services for the FDOT‑funded NE Cubitis Avenue, SE Hargrave Street, and SW Liverpool Road improvement projects.
BACKGROUND:
FDOT awarded the County funding through the Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) for SE Hargrave Street (FP# 453435‑1‑54‑01) and SW Liverpool Road (FP# 448741‑1‑54‑01), and through SCOP/SCRAP for NE Cubitis Avenue (FP# 453403‑1‑54‑01). To procure Construction Engineering and Inspection Services for these three projects, Staff issued Request for Qualifications No. 26‑04‑00 and received two proposals. FDOT reviewed the County’s procurement actions and authorized the Selection Committee to proceed. The Committee met and ranked CW3 Engineering, Inc. as the highest‑ranked firm. FDOT then reviewed the Committee’s recommendation and authorized the County to proceed with negotiation and award of Construction Engineering and Inspection Services with CW3 Engineering, Inc.
