Approve the Agreement with Computers at Work, Incorporated dba vTECH io, for Managed I.T. Services.
SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting approval of the Agreement with Computers at Work, Incorporated dba vTECH io to provide Managed IT Services to DeSoto County.
BACKGROUND:
Staff released Request for Proposals (RFP No. 26‑11‑00) for Managed IT Services, for which a total of twelve (12) proposals were received in response to the solicitation.
A Selection Committee was appointed to review and rank the proposals. After completing its evaluation, the Committee recommended vTECH io as the highest‑ranked firm.
The Agreement includes an initial one (1)-year term, with the option for up to four (4) additional one‑year renewals, for a total possible term of five (5) years. Under the Agreement, vTECH io will provide Managed IT Services including network monitoring, server and workstation support, cybersecurity functions, help desk services, and other support needed to maintain County operations. The annual amount for these services is $125,880.00, based on a monthly fee of $10,490.00.
