REQUESTED MOTION:
To adopt the Preliminary Rate Resolution for Fire Protection as presented.
SUMMARY:
This resolution constitutes the Preliminary Rate Resolution as defined in Ordinance 2025-009. It initiates the annual process for updating the Fire Protection Assessment Roll and directs the reimposition of Fire Protection Assessments for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2026.
BACKGROUND:
The Municipal Services Benefit Unit (MSBU) for Fire Protection is hereby expanded to include the entire unincorporated area of the County and the incorporated area of the City of Arcadia whose City Council consented to inclusion with the passage of City Ordinance number 1114 on or about March 3, 2026.
