To proclaim the month of September 2026 as National Senior Center Month.
BACKGROUND:
National Senior Center Month is celebrated every September to recognize the vital role senior centers play in our communities. Senior centers are not just places for meals and social activities: they are essential community hubs that offer vital programs in health, wellness, lifelong learning, and civic engagement. They empower older adults to remain independent, active, and deeply connected to their communities.
