REQUESTED MOTION:
A motion to adopt the proposed Resolution amending and restating the Building Department fee schedule.
BACKGROUND:
On June 23, 2026, in response to the foregoing legislative changes, the Board adopted Resolution No. 2026-052, which amended the County's building permit and inspection fee schedule to make initial revisions necessary to implement and comply with Chapter 2026-63, Laws of Florida; Following the adoption of Resolution No. 2026-052, County staff and the County Building Official conducted further review and analysis of the County's building permit and inspection fees and determined that additional revisions to the fee schedule are appropriate to ensure continued compliance with applicable Florida law and to more accurately reflect the costs associated with the services provided by the County. Based upon such further review and the recommendation of the County Building Official, the Board finds it necessary and appropriate to amend and restate the County's building permit and inspection fee schedule in its entirety.
