REQUESTED MOTION:
To approve the grant agreement from Florida Commerce, Agreement #HI002 for the installation of the generator located at 815 N Mills, and adopt a Resolution allowing the County Administrator to execute and submit all related documents to Florida Commerce for the grant agreement
SUMMARY:
FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) requires a local match of 25%. This program, as identified in the State of Florida Hurricane Ian Disaster Recovery approved action plan, will fund the local match portion of the HMGP award with CDBG-DR funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Florida Division of Emergency (FDEM) has been awarded DeSoto County $141,952.50. The local cost share, CDBG-DR funds obligation under this agreement, is $47,317.50, for a total project cost of $189,270.00.
