REQUESTED MOTION:
To adopt a Resolution excluding tax notices which are $5.00 or less.
SUMMARY:
The Tax Collector has determined that the cost of collection would exceed a minimum ad valorem tax bill of $5.00. For this reason, as authorized by Florida law, she had requested that the Board instruct her not to mail tax notices for $5.00 or less. The Resolution also instructs the Property Appraiser not t extend the tax roll for any parcel for which the tax amount would be $5.00 or less.
BACKGROUND:
The Board had adopted a similar Resolution in past years at the request of the Tax Collector.
