REQUESTED MOTION:
Motion to adopt a Resolution declaring the Turner Agri-Civic Center serves a public purpose and authorizing the County Administrator to apply for State and/or Federal grants and sign necessary certifications.

An enabling and declaratory Resolution required as a grant application submittal
BACKGROUND:
A Resolution declaring the Turner Agri-Civic Center serves a public purpose is required as part Agriculture Education and Promotion Facility Request for Funds, managed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences Division of Marketing and Development. Eligible applicants are municipalities and Fair Associations. The application is in progress and is required to be submitted by October 1st. The application category will be Planning, proposing the development of a Master Plan for the site to support more agricultural events.
