SUMMARY:
Dr. Asena Mott will discuss the Agriculture Innovation Grant South Florida State College recently received.
BACKGROUND:
Dr. Mott announced at the last meeting that SFSC received a grant from the Department of Education for a federal Precision Ag grant. The grant totals about $4.65 million over five years. The project will involve drones, field measurements, data collection, and training people to use the technology. Dr. Mott joined Ms. Guffey and SCORE advisor John Dalton on a tour of the University of Florida’s Innovation Hub in Gainesville in September.
