REQUESTED MOTION:

Approve the Contract with Blacktip Services, Incorporated, for the FDOT Local Agency Program Sidewalk Construction Services for County Road 760A.

 

SUMMARY:

Staff recommends approval of a Contract with Blacktip Services, Incorporated, for construction services under the FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) for sidewalk improvements along County Road 760A.

 

BACKGROUND:

DeSoto County received FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) funding for the construction of sidewalk improvements along C.R. 760A (FP No. 442022-1-58-01, FDOT Contract No. G3705).  An Invitation to Bid (Bid No. 26-06-00ITB) was released on November 11, 2025. Eight (8) bids were received. Blacktip Services, Incorporated was determined to be the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.  The bid submitted by Blacktip Services, Incorporated is in the amount of $273,985.50.  Staff recommends award to Blacktip Services, Incorporated as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
