A motion to enter into the record the staff report and all other competent substantial evidence introduced at the hearing and make a recommendation to adopt/deny the Ordinance for the rezone.
SUMMARY:
The request is an Official Zoning District Atlas amendment (rezoning) application (RZNE-0074-2025) filed by the Owner, Crown Building Products of FL, to change the zoning district of two parcels totaling +/- 10.22-acres from Residential Mixed (RM) to Industrial Light (IL).
BACKGROUND:
The application is a request to amend the Official Zoning District Atlas by changing the zoning district of the subject properties totaling +/- 10.22-acres from Residential Mixed (RM) to Industrial Light (IL) district. The Interim 2040 Future Land Use Map shows the property is designated as Rural/Agricultural. Future Land Use Element Objective 1.3 defines the Rural/Agricultural Land Use category. The applicant has also filed a Special Exception application (USE-0211-2025) for outdoor storage of waste concrete, associated with the adjacent existing manufacturing use and which is contingent on Board approval of the rezoning.
