REQUESTED MOTION:
To adopt a Resolution amending the Utility Fee Schedule B for Liquid Waste Transport Rates and Charges as presented.
SUMMARY:
A modification to the rates for in-county and out-of-county septage disposal for Liquid Waste Transport. The rates were last evaluated and updated in July 2018.
BACKGROUND:
In reviewing the current Utility Rates it has been determined the septage disposal rates (Liquid Waste Transport Rates and Charges) are outdated and insufficient in comparison to surrounding counties. The update is necessary as Desoto County Utilities will begin receiving wastewater from Oak Stone off of CR 760A, ahead of the completion of their wastewater plant as they begin construction for single family homes.
