REQUESTED MOTION:
Approve the Supplemental Agreement with SCS Engineers for Design and Permitting Services relating to the Landfill Expansion project of Zones 6 and 7.

BACKGROUND:
The County has retained SCS Engineers through an RFQ process, for design and permit of Zones 6 and 7, as part of the landfill expansion. The first phase of the project included a basis of design and environmental review. Recommendations were made to staff regarding sequencing for the future and options available for the landfill expansion. A charrette was held. The report was reviewed in depth, and the recommendation was to move forward with the permitting of Zone Six and Seven, under one permit and design them together. They will be sequenced according to the needs that are dictated for construction, but the engineering will have already been done. The design will be prepared and permitted in Less than a year. Construction will be bid as soon as the design is completed and the plans are available. Contract Administration will be administered during a different amendment, when the project schedule allows for such activities
