Motion for the approval of a Contract Amendment with Hawkins, Inc. for Utilities Purchase of Water/Wastewater Treatment Chemicals.
SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting approval of a Contract Amendment with Hawkins, Inc. for Utilities Purchase of Water/Wastewater Treatment Chemicals extending the Contract for an additional one (1) year term.
BACKGROUND:
On March 22, 2022, the Board approved the Contract award to Hawkins, Inc. for the Utilities Department purchase of Water/Wastewater Treatment Chemicals - Ammonium Sulfate and Antiscalant. This Contract states a Contract Time of an initial two (2) year term with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year terms. Seller requested a price increase to the Antiscalant from $18.95 per gallon to $21.00 per gallon; price for the Ammonium Sulfate will remain the same at $3.75 per gallon, see Exhibit “A”. Both the County and Seller wish to utilize the first renewal, including the requested price increase, extending the Contract to April 22, 2025.

Budget Amount: $125,000.00
