REQUESTED MOTION:
Approve the Amendment to the Lease with the Department of Management Services renewing the Agreement and increasing the square footage leased for Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for office space at the DeSoto County Extension Office.
SUMMARY:
Lease Agreement for office space at Extension for The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
BACKGROUND:
On June 9, 2010, the County entered into a Lease Agreement with the State of Florida Department of Management Services, Lease #420:0446, to provide office space for the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services at the DeSoto County Extension Office.
The original Lease Agreement began on May 1, 2010 for an aggregate area of 196 square feet. Modified to increase space previously. Modification# 5 extends this Lease Agreement until April 30, 2025, with both parties agreeing to hold the current price of $16.50 per square foot. The Department of Management Services wishes to further amend their current Lease Agreement and increase the square footage from 648 square feet to 830 square feet at the current price of $16.50 per square foot.
