Authorization to Negotiate with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., for LAP Sidewalk Design Services on C.R. 760, S.E. West Ave. and S.W. Kingsway Circle.
SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting approval of an Authorization to Negotiate with Kimley-Horn, Inc., for the FDOT LAP C.R. 760, S.E. West Ave. and S.W. Kingsway Circle Sidewalk Design Services.
BACKGROUND:
On January 26, 2024, DeSoto County was awarded three Federally Funded Local Agency Program (LAP) projects for design services for sidewalks located on C.R. 760 from S.W. Us 17/S.R. 35 to S.W. Aster Ave., S.E. West Ave. from S.E. Maple Drive to S.E. Esmeralda Drive and S.W. Kingsway Circle from S.W. Egret Circle to S.W. Egret Circle.
On March 20, 2024, Staff released a Request for Qualifications for all three projects with three responses received. After careful review, the Selection Committee is recommending Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. for this project.
FDOT requires that Staff receive authorization from the Board before moving forward with Agreement negotiations for these projects. After negotiations are completed and approved by FDOT, Stall will present an Agreement to the Board for approval.
